Türkiye’s Export Momentum Strengthens in 2025
Türkiye’s sourcing industry is experiencing one of its most dynamic years, as buyers from Gulf and Asian markets increase their reliance on Turkish products ranging from food and textiles to furniture and home décor. With its diversified manufacturing base and logistics access to Europe, Asia, and Africa, Türkiye is solidifying its role as a central player in global procurement networks.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), exports to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar rose by over 26% between July and September 2025. A significant share of this growth came from the processed food and organic dried fruit sectors, where Turkish suppliers have become trusted partners due to quality assurance and fast delivery times.
“Buyers across the Gulf are turning to Türkiye for reliability and traceable sourcing,” said TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe. “We’re seeing record inquiries from Asia as well, particularly in packaged foods, textiles, and sustainable materials.”
Rising Demand for Organic and Sustainable Food Products
In August 2025, a major sourcing agreement was signed between Türkiye’s Notus Organics, a Malatya-based organic snacks producer, and a Singaporean retail distributor. The deal includes a two-year contract to supply organic dried apricots, fruit bars, and cold-pressed juices under private label arrangements.
The collaboration reflects a broader trend of Asian retailers seeking Turkish-made natural products as consumers in the region shift toward healthier lifestyles. Türkiye’s rich agricultural diversity and competitive logistics capacity have positioned it as a preferred sourcing destination for premium organic goods.
Furniture and Home Textile Exports Gain Ground in Asia
The furniture and home textile sector is also expanding its export footprint. Bursa and Kayseri manufacturers reported increased demand from Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines — countries that have traditionally imported furniture from China but are now diversifying suppliers.
“Our clients are drawn to the craftsmanship and design quality of Turkish-made furniture,” said Abdullah Demir, export manager at Demir Home. “The competitive shipping rates through the Mediterranean make it an even more attractive option for Asian importers.”
Turkish producers are also capitalizing on growing interest in customizable, sustainably sourced furniture, a niche rapidly expanding across Southeast Asia.
Turkish Companies Showcase at Global Trade Fairs
The Canton Fair 2025, held in Guangzhou in April, further accelerated Türkiye’s sourcing visibility. Over 200 Turkish exhibitors participated, showcasing products in categories such as home goods, fashion, and packaging. Many companies reported follow-up orders from Asian buyers in the months following the fair, especially from South Korea and Vietnam.
“Turkish sourcing firms now use fairs not just to exhibit but to form long-term supplier networks,” noted trade consultant Ali Burç of Burç Consulting. “Buyers are increasingly visiting Turkish factories, not just trade booths.”
The Future of Türkiye as a Global Procurement Powerhouse
Analysts suggest that Türkiye’s growing appeal lies in its EU-aligned production standards, ability to handle small to mid-size custom orders, and digital sourcing platforms that make communication easier for international buyers. The country’s manufacturers are also embracing sustainability, using eco-friendly materials and transparent production practices — features highly valued by Gulf and Asian importers.
As Türkiye continues to expand its sourcing infrastructure through new logistics hubs in Mersin and Istanbul, foreign buyers are expected to deepen partnerships in key export sectors. With competitive production costs, quality assurance, and growing digital accessibility, Türkiye’s position as a reliable sourcing partner between East and West is stronger than ever.
