Editorial standards
Turkish Sourcing News exists to help international buyers, investors and executives understand what is happening in Türkiye's economy, trade and industry, and what it means for their business. These standards explain how we work.
Mission
We cover the developments that matter to companies sourcing from, investing in or selling into Türkiye: trade agreements and tariffs, manufacturing and sector trends, investment incentives and regulation, logistics, real estate and capital markets. We aim to be accurate, clear and useful, and to explain the practical implications of each story.
Sourcing and attribution
- Every article is based on identifiable sources: official statistics, government and institutional announcements, company disclosures, and reporting by established Turkish and international media.
- We attribute facts to the organisation that reported or published them, and we list and link our sources at the end of each article.
- When we rely on another outlet's reporting, we credit that outlet by name and link to the original story.
- We do not publish figures, quotes or claims that we cannot trace to a source.
What we add
We do not republish other outlets' articles. Our coverage combines information from several sources, adds background on Türkiye's market and regulation, and explains what a development means for foreign buyers, importers and investors.
Dates and updates
Each article shows when it was first published. If we make a substantive change after publication, we show the date and time of the update. We do not change publication dates to make older stories look new.
Corrections policy
We correct errors of fact as quickly as possible. Corrected articles carry an updated timestamp, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article. To report an error, email desk@turkishsourcing.com or use our contact form, including the article link and the correction you are suggesting.
Ownership and funding
Turkish Sourcing News is owned and published by Burc Consulting, an advisory firm working with international companies on investment, market entry and business development in Türkiye. The publication is funded by its publisher and by advertising. It receives no funding from governments, political parties or interest groups.
Advertising, sponsorship and conflicts of interest
- Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over our coverage.
- Sponsored content, if we publish any, is labelled as sponsored.
- Boxes promoting our publisher's advisory services are labelled as such.
- When an article mentions Burc Consulting, we add a disclosure note.
